Wonderful Tuesdays...and we are just getting started!

“May you always have work for your hands to do.

May your pockets hold always a coin or two.

May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.

May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.

May the hand of a friend always be near you.

And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.”

Our work last Tuesday evening was cut a bit short by dark clouds, wind, and rain, but we still managed to get some weeding and pruning done in the simple garden. We need to finish weeding, make the raised beds with the compost, and clean up the trash in the area (lots to be done!). Come next week if you can!!!---We need the man/woman power to finish the tasks in the simple garden and we will also put some plants in the ground in the front garden!

See you on Tuesday!

Busy Garden Tuesdays

We have had great turn outs at our last two garden nights. In addition to having our plants safely transplanted and now happily growing in the greenhouse, we spent time tilling the front garden, transplanting sorrel and chives, planting lettuce and flowers, spreading compost, tending to the needs of a few existing plants, and making raised beds for planting. Last Thursday and Friday, Katie and Jennifer devoted time to preparing the simple garden for tilling and then tilling the garden plot.
The energy of our gardening community has been high and while the tasks might seem great at the beginning of the evening, the combination of our efforts have allowed us to accomplish a great deal in our 6:00 - 8:00pm meeting times.
Our work this Tuesday will be focused on the simple garden, provided it doesn't rain.
Enjoy the pictures and be inspired to join our work!
We look forward to seeing you tonight!
